Applications for Multi-component Flash Calculator

Multi-component flash calculator does the basic VLE Flash calculations like BUBBLE P, DEW P, BUBBLE T, DEW T and P-T FLASH. It uses Raoult's Law, Modified Raoult's Law with Wilson Interaction parameters, Soave Redlich Kwong (SRK) and Peng Robinson (PR) EOS.


  • BUBBLE P

    In this mode Temperature T and Liquid mole fractions Xi are provided by the user. Calculator provides Bubble Point Pressure P and corresponding Vapor mole Fractions Yi.
  • DEW P

    In this mode Temperature T and Vapor mole fractions Yi are provided by the user. Calculator provides Dew Point Pressure P and corresponding Liquid mole Fractions Xi.
  • BUBBLE T

    In this mode Pressure P and Liquid mole fractions Xi are provided by the user. Calculator provides Bubble Point Temperature T and corresponding Vapor mole Fractions Yi.
  • DEW T

    In this mode Pressure P and Vapor mole fractions Yi are provided by the user. Calculator provides Dew Point Temperature T and corresponding Liquid mole Fractions Xi.
  • P-T FLASH

    In this mode Pressure P and Temperaure T are specified by the user, at which Flash calculation is to be done, along with Mixture mole fractions Zi. Calculator does the flash calculation if the Pressure P is in between Dew Point and Bubble Point Pressure. It calculates Vapor and Liquid fraction in which mixture will be split along with Vapor and Liquid mole fractions - Yi and Xi.
