Follow these steps to start the calculation

Main Panel

  • Enter the Number of Components present in the mixture ( Minimum 2 and Maximum 10 )
  • Select the Type of Calculation to be done P-T Flash, Bubble P, Dew P, Bubble T and Dew T
  • Enter the Pressure and Temperature condtions for flash calculation
  • Change Units for Pressure, Temeperature and Antoine Log by clicking on Change Units Button.

Data Panel

  • Select Component from the List
    • Select Component Number from Drop down menu, eg. Comp 1.
    • Select the Chemical from the List
    • Press the Select Button
    • For the second Component select Comp 2. from Drop down menu and repeat the above mentioned steps.
  • Or Manually Enter the Chemical Properties in the Table
    • Enter the Component Name
    • In Xi Column enter the Component mole fraction
    • Enter the Antoine equation parameters A,B,C for the equation
      log(P) = A-B/(T+C).
    • If Non-Ideal liquid behaviour is to be considered then enter Liquid Molar Volume, Vi ( in cm3/gm-mol ). Enter the Wilson interaction parameters in (cal/mol).
    • For Soave Redlich Kwong (SRK) and Peng Robinson (PR) EOS enter the critical Pressure Pc, Critical Temperature Tc, and Accentric Factor Omega W in the table.
  • Select the property model from the drop down menu for Raoult's Law, Modified Raoult's Law, Soave Redlich Kwong (SRK) EOS and Peng Robinson (PR) EOS.
  • Click Find BIP's button to look for binary interaction parameters from the data bank, if interaction parameters are not available then these can be manually filled in the table.
